We all know that bicycles are the best means of travel, something that helps you keep fit and is eco-friendly as well. Coming up with a new touch to it, here is a people-powered vehicle- the bicycle which has got itself an urban touch to it. This cool hybrid combines the looks of a cycle and the mechanism for a scooter. It’s called the ‘Pibal’ which is a bike/scooter combo and which actually means ‘baby eel’.
Worked on by the designer Philippe Starck and a car manufacturer Peugeot to give this design a go, it has turned out to be quite a remarkable advancement. They came up with this bike for the city of Bordeaux’s public bike scheme. You can ride this bike as a normal one but just when you want to get the pedestrian feel with having to push or pull it while changing places, it works wonders for you.
Pibal allows its riders to carry groceries on the front and the back side of it. If you have a kid at home, then you can even make him or her stand on the platform while you are pushing the bike along. Sounds like a good deal, why not try it out?
