As you walk into a movie hall to watch a movie, of course you are asked to switch your phones off or atleast to put it on vibration but most of us tend to just ignore this advisory. For many of us it sounds as an irritating warning but for many it’s like something that they’d want their other movie hall compatriots to follow. For those who want to tweet about their presence in a movie hall or want to comment upon the movie they are watching, there are specially-made tweet seats.
It’s this Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis which gives them a facility to tweet from their seat. These are called the smartphone seats or more prominently the ‘Tweet Seats’. Here as quoted by them, the smartphone addicts can hang out, check in and tweet’. It’s almost like having a smoking lounge for smokers just that here all the smartphone addicts get to hang out and use their social media skills to be in touch even while enjoying a movie. However the External Relations Director, Trigh Santini of Guthrie Theater says that these seats were initially designed to encourage a deeper interaction with the show amongst the audience.
The tweeting business could get major thumbs-up with this. Be it the movie theatres (something where they have already tried their hands-on) or the airlines business where usage of mobile phone sis not allowed atleast during the flight or even the sports and venue concerts where simultaneously hundreds and thousands of people just tweet from the same place (bumming the channels).
The tweeting chairs or seats can send your business to a highly elevated plain; now think about all those business houses where it could be used in their advantage. It’s picked up and will make a great change in the tech world.
