This would be done by launching a new player tracking system by the name of Micoach. This system will be first launched in the Major League game.
The system Micoach will be suspended on the shoulders of each and every player. This system would measure a number of factors such as heart beat of the player, his playing intensity, the power which he is able to generate, the speed with which he is running, the distance covered by him in a particular period of time, his acceleration and many more. In order to measure these factors, various equipments have been installed into this system. Some of them are- gyroscope, magnetometer, global positioning system, 3D accelerator, RF radio. It is through the RF radio that the data is sent to the computer which is kept on the sideline and then this data is transferred to an iPad application.
The importance of Micoach will be significant especially for the coaches. Because it is through this devise that they will be able to judge the performance of a player quite clearly. They will be able to know about each player’s strength, his power and speed and thus they can work upon those players accordingly. Not only this, during the course of a match, this system will also help in determining the impact of the game on the player, how he is able to handle the things on the grounds, his heart rate and many more. Hence, Micoach is an important innovation to the world of sports and will be used significantly for the years to come.
