We humans can just not stop dreaming. We never did when we didn’t have an airplane and we didn’t when we had no resource or help from anybody to develop anything for us. We won’t even stop ourselves from designing a flying bike. Yes, you read that right. Although a flying bike is very far from its conceptualisation leave apart actualisation but there are some design concepts which are surfacing to show that it can very well exist in this world. This Czech company has thought of building upon this concept to come up with something called a flying bike.
The brief is to create a bike that can fly but it has to have two requirements within itself- like any other common bike it must be able to get to a place from where it can take off, this take-off must go on for 3-5 minutes in a coordinated manner. Looking very heavy from its exteriors, it’s to be seen whether something like could fly. It’s said that this concept is similar to an ultra-light mosquito helicopter. If you want to see its prototype, you can have a look at the cycling hovercraft to be taken place in September 2012 at the International Engineering Fair in Brno, Czech. The other parameters of the bike derive from the second requirement of such a bike. This is totally on the driving unit of the bike as without lifting the bike upward and the takeoff static, you have to make sure the bike runs fine. There is another requirement and that is a control-unit problem. This is to maintain basic stabilization during the takeoff which would enable the biker to control the bike while it’s in air. Also, there is a concern for safety while flying in the air that has to be dealt with. Now whether this flying bike could be made possible or not is to be seen.
