This robotic arm feeds you food only with a slight whisk in your eyes [Video]

Robots can do almost anything that a man can do but the difference lies in the fact that it can only do so with the help of a man. Either there is a device to control the made robot or there is a mechanism by which it can be controlled to function in a certain way. But have you heard of a robot that can do stuff according to you only by receiving and acknowledging commands given by your eyes. Yes, here is a robot that can be controlled with your eyes.

This robot has been developed by six electrical and computer-engineering students from North-eastern University. They thought of building a robot that will help in assisting mankind in more ways than one. This robot however is not a robotics man-like structure but just a robotic arm that can help in doing multiple tasks.

Just imagine that this robot can feed you food like a helping hand. Called the Eye-Controlled Robotic Arm Feeding Technology (iCraft for short), it has been specifically designed to help the elderly and disabled people who have problem in feeding food themselves. The best part about iCraft is that it uses a simple eye-tracking solution to use it. You simply have to look towards the box with the food that you want to have and the robotic arm takes your signal and does the rest of the job with ease (You have to lean and tilt your head a bit towards the box for it to understand which one you are focusing on).

The whole system of iCraft is so easy to use that you can use it very easily for people who have some special difficulty in using their hands. You simply have to move your pupils around and the robotic arm understands your signal or command. With an arm that moves objects in a designated path, this robot is meant to help mankind with its daily routine work. Imagine having food while working on your laptop and all this with both your hands busy. iCraft makes it possible. At present it costs $900 to develop it which is a pretty bargain-able position.
