The Emergency Door concept from designer Sung Young Um is meant to turn into a safe shelter at the time of earthquake while providing a complete protection from the falling debris. At the time of an emergency, its triangular shape provides maximum security to the person beneath. The door can easily be turned into use just by releasing it from the middle.
However, this door can accommodate just one person. Does that mean we need to put numerous emergency exits at home? Seems little impractical.
