Yet another Kickstarter project is here and I’m sure it will through the initial funding phase as it is economical and solves a very common predicament. The sound from your iOS device’s speakerphone like the iPhone is good but not that great when compared to other smartphone and that is exactly what the Kickstarter project called Lil Kikr looks to solve. And mind you it is a docking station, so it charges up your iPhone or iPod as you enjoy deep, expansive music from the smartphone’s speakerphone. In a way it amplifies the sound from iPhone’s speaker by about 10 dB from each end as the dock’s amplifying tube is made from aircraft grade aluminum.
Lil Kikr also amplifies the incoming sound from the microphone in case you want to have a Facetime call or phone conversation without the need to hook the phone near you ear as it gets really tiring sometimes. As you see from the picture above the cylindrical shape might mislead you into thinking that the dock ought to be unstable but it is not. The stainless steel paddings on the back side give it very stable balance on any kind of surface without a hitch. Although iPad users will have a grim face as the dock isn’t compatible for iapad but all other iOS devices are supported by Lil Kikr.
You can catch up with the development of the funding scenario with this project at Kickstarter as almost one fourth of the total amount has been pledged by backers.
